Academic Writing Platform Blooksy to Sponsor New HBCUAC Academic Award
NEW ORLEANS, La. The Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) is proud to announce the partnership with Blooksy Publishing, Inc., the innovative platform designed to streamline the writing process, as the official sponsor of the Elite 9 Academic Award for student-athletes. This award honors student-athletes who exemplify excellence both on the field and in the classroom, recognizing the highest cumulative grade-point average at the finals site of each of the HBCUAC's nine championships. The Elite 9 Academic Award was presented by Dillard University Director of Athletics Dr. Linda J. Bell, to the HBCUAC Council of Athletic Directors, who unanimously approved the award at their annual summer meeting.
Blooksy's mission is to accelerate the writing process for scholars, as well as empower students by reducing the stress and time associated with APA formatting, allowing them to focus on what matters most—content creation and academic success. Their latest cloud-based feature delivers pre-formatted APA 7th Edition layouts, real-time collaboration, and a seamless writing experience, ensuring every paper meets the highest APA standards with ease.
HBCUAC Commissioner Dr. Kiki Baker Barnes expressed her excitement about the partnership:
"The Elite 9 Award represents the heart of what we strive for in the HBCU Athletic Conference—developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel in both their academic and athletic endeavors. Partnering with Blooksy, a platform that simplifies academic writing, is the perfect match for this award. We are thrilled to have them on board as our sponsor, furthering our mission of academic excellence."
Blooksy Founder Anthony Joiner also shared his enthusiasm for the partnership:
"Blooksy is honored to sponsor the Elite 9 Award and support student-athletes who are achieving greatness both in sports and academics. Our platform is designed to remove the hassle of formatting so students can dedicate more time to excelling in their studies and athletic commitments. We're excited to work alongside the HBCUAC to recognize these outstanding individuals."
The Elite 9 Award, presented at each of the HBCUAC's nine championships, symbolizes the intersection of academic achievement and athletic performance. Blooksy's sponsorship underscores the importance of academic success for student-athletes, offering a valuable resource to help them navigate the often complex demands of academic writing.
