Voorhees University's Alexander, Stillman's Johnson bring home Week 4 HBCUAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards
NEW ORLEANS - April 1, 2025 - Voorhees University's Damarion Alexander claims Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Stillman College's Christopher Johnson garners Field Athlete of the Week. The men were honored for their performances between March 24-30, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Alexander finished third out of 37 athletes in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.71 seconds at Saturday's Morehouse Relays. His time was 0.17 seconds off his personal best, which leads the HBCUAC.
For the third consecutive week, Johnson surpassed the 'B' national championship qualifying standard in the discus with a throw of 50.27 meters which topped his competition by nearly five meters at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Spring Invite on Saturday. It was his fourth event win of the season. He finished fifth with a distance of 13.50 meters in the shot put.

The HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) is the only HBCU conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
