Stillman's Haskins, Wade win Week 8 HBCUAC Softball Awards after Title Clinching Weekend
NEW ORLEANS - March 31, 2025 - Stillman College outfielder Lauren Haskins garners Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletics (HBCUAC) Softball Player of the Week and Jasmine Wade earns Pitcher of the Week after their performances between March 24-30 helped the Tigers secure the 2025 HBCUAC Regular Season Title, the conference announced Monday.
Haskins was absolutely dominant in her games against Dillard University. The senior hit .818 over the weekend with nine hits, nine RBIs, three home runs, a triple and a double. She stole four bases and drew a walk. Haskins finished with 21 total bases and five extra-base hits. Defensively, she posted a .944 fielding percentage with 17 putouts. This is Haskins fourth weekly honor.
Wade held opponents to a .154 batting average in eight innings in two appearances. In her win on Saturday, Wade struck out three batters and only allowed four hits. She picked up a save in an inning of work Sunday afternoon. Wade earns her second consecutive weekly honor.
